Tuning Yorke

Jay Haze, the man to whom grand gestures come as naturally as exhaling, is giving away his Love and Beyond album for free. Go here to check out Haze doing a Radiohead. I can’t think of any dance artists that have done this, though many prefer the traditional route of giving away albums for nothing on the internet, known as “being a musician”. Still, maybe this’ll start a trend. A trend that allows everyone to feel great about themselves, and each other! What do you think? Had you pirated this already? And do you like the record?
Man-O-Steel

Mano Le Tough, my old buddy from Dublin who now lives in Berlin, has finally had a single release. The Dubliners amongst you may know Mano, a man who tends to bring an armchair to clubs and read quietly, emulating his ideal night in, but on the dancefloor. The track is called “Inside Animal Minds”. It’s on an EP called “Don’t Share Needles” on Aaron Hedges’ District of Corruption label, and you can buy the 12 already on Decks.De.
No doubt a digital release is pending. Mano also blogs here, giving you a refreshingly gonzofied taste of what it’s like to live in Berlin. He has another release due on Full Pupp later in the year.

Melody Ballroom: Pigon (Efdemin and Rndm) Boat Party, London, August 16th: Ahoy there, this looks good. As well as the endless clubs over here, there are often unorthodox parties and this is one of them I guess. It starts at 17.00 on a boat called the Dutch Master, which has a full bar, and then after you’ve sailed around for a while and perhaps vomited, the party continues in the Egg nightclub. It’s not cheap at £27 for the lot but if it’s a hot day it’s hard to think of a better thing to do. For more info go here.
